Let’s start with the truth about social media.
It changes all the time.
Something that is hot today is forgotten tomorrow – just think about Clubhouse. No one even remembers it now.
How do you stay on top of these trends? The best way is to always be curious and never stop learning.
Ok, now that I have shared my philosophy about social media, let me outline the job and a description of our dream Virtual Assistant.
This is a long-term position and the hours needed will likely increase over time. It will start at approximately 5 hours per week. There is a long list of tasks that you will need to do, but you won’t do all of them every week.
The Virtual Assistant will have the following qualities:
• Understands marketing and advertising – you will be tested on core competencies, but you will also be trained on advanced techniques
• Curious and never stops learning – we strive to stay up-to-date on trends and technology and hope our VA will too
• Some experience, at least two years doing social media management – we are happy to train on more advanced skills
• Brainstormer – we have lots of ideas but are looking for someone who is not shy and willing to share their opinions
• C2 – Advanced Proficient Score for English in Online Jobs – US English preferred, we spell some words differently and speak differently than people in the UK and Australia
• Organized and detail oriented – this is super important to us, and we use tools to keep us all on task and moving forward
• Tech proficient – see the list of tools we use below
• Hold themselves accountable – this means asking questions in a timely fashion, meeting deadlines, getting the work done and remembering to do weekly and monthly tasks
• Positive and pleasant – we’ll be nice to you and expect the same in return
What you will do
• Social Media
o Audit and review content created by graphic designer – approve or reject
o Post social media content based on schedule
o Social media engagement on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
o Retrieve reports on social media platforms and track performance
• WordPress – We use Elementor as our site builder
o Load blog posts on our WordPress site
o Create landing pages and integrate Active Campaign forms
o Tag and categorize each blog post with SEO optimized terms
o Research plugins when needed
o Check plugin updates
o Test site performance weekly
• Research
o Based on Google news alerts, notify team of interesting posts
o Trends in Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
o Hashtags, ideas and trends
Administrative
o Monthly - Retrieve receipts for services and move to Google Drive
o Weekly - Organize content in Google Drive
Teachable
o Create thumbnails for all videos
o Create training documents in Canva
o Load videos and worksheets into training platforms
